SpringBuilder couldn’t pass by Facebook Messenger: one of the most popular chats in the world. Now you can integrate it to your website created with SpringBME. In this step-by-step article we will guide you through that process, like 3,2,1.

First things first, you should head over to Facebook for Developers and hit ‘My Apps’ in the upper right corner. You’ll notice an option to ‘Add New App’

Here and now, enter your Display Name and Contact Email and submit.

Choose ‘Messenger’ from the products’ list and hit ‘Set up’.

The next step would be navigating to ‘Settings’ on the left panel > Basics and copying the App ID.

Afterwards, click on the Status switcher to turn it on. Make sure to provide the Privacy Policy URL.

Hit the ‘Save’ button on the bottom of the page and Enable the switcher on top.

Choose ‘Business and pages’ from the Category dropdown and you’re all set!

Finally, go to your Facebook page, opt for ‘About’ to get your ‘Page ID’.

The final call would be moving to the ‘Messenger Platform’ from the ‘Settings’ bar and having your Domain whitelisted.

That’s it!

To enable the Facebook Messenger on your website, go to your Dashboard, find the Messenger among the numerous integrations out there and enter your Application ID along with the Page ID and hit ‘Connect’.

The light will go green indicating that the platform is successfully connected!

Time to check it out in action. Simply access your site in public mode or hit ‘Preview’ to find the Messenger icon in the lower right corner.

Said and done!

We suggest checking the rest of the integrations on our Help Section for more insightful articles and a bigger view at SpringBuilder and the opportunities available.
