In your Integrations App, you can find Hello Bar - an integration that allows you to create popup messages and get more likes, tweets, followers and subscribers.

To get started, go to Hellobar and enter the SpringBuilder sitename that you're going to integrate Hello Bar with. Sign Up or Sign In, if you already have an account.

Once you're logged in, click on the "I can install code myself" option → copy the script → go to you SpringBuilder site's Design mode → Dashboard → Integrations App → click on Hello Bar → paste the code in the given field click Connect and you should see a green dot appear on the top right corner. This indicates that your Hello bar integration is connected.

When creating a new popup, you simply need to follow the on screen instructions.

  • Choose what you want your Hello Bar to do

  • what type you want it to be

  • Edit the design

  • Adjust the settings and change who sees your Hello Bar.

Once you're done, click on Publish Now.

How to enable GDPR Compliance on your pop-ups

Announcements of GDPR regulations took the EU in early 2018 by surprise, asking to agree to the website’s privacy policy, use of the data and so on.

But no worries, our Hello Bar integration allows you to add your own Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions to your GDPR enabled Hello Bars.

To get started:

  1. Log in to your Hello Bar Dashboard

  2. Click the Settings tab on the left hand side of your Dashboard

  3. Click the Privacy Tab at the top of that page

Here, you will be able to upload your own legal material straight into Hello Bar by adding in the URL link to these materials on your site.

To enable the GDPR on each of your pop-ups:

  1. Log into your Hello Bar account and create a new email collecting pop-up, or edit an existing one.

  2. Once you are within the pop-up builder, go to the Settings tab.

  3. Here, you will see a toggle labeled 'GDPR Compliant' – you will want to shift this toggle so that it is green and reads 'ON'.

Now, when a visitor visits your site and sees your Hello Bar pop-ups, the GDPR compliance will display once a user has clicked the submit button on the pop-up. At this time, a new window will appear asking for the final GDPR consent before the data is finally collected.

!Note: You will need to enable GDPR compliance on each of your Hello Bar pop-ups. Changing it on one will not change it on all pop-ups.
