Wanna take the guesswork out of product development and adapt quicker to your users’ needs? Meet UserVoice - yet another better way to gather and make sense of product feedback.

You may wonder what does UserVoice do?
It allows you to collect feedback across your customer base from end users directly, and through your sales, support and internal teams who talk with customers every day.

Here's a step by step guide to integrating it to your SpringBuilder website if you're down to set up the UserVoice Widget now right away.

You also want to understand all your different options for customizing the widget, right? No worries, we'll walk you through it as well.

First things first.
The UserVoice Widget offers different features. We'll cover:

  • SmartVote
  • NPS
  • User Traits

Step 1: Click the icon in the bottom left corner to choose "Widgets" from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: Customize your Widget Design

  • Starting Experience: When the user clicks the trigger (the icon that opens the widget), what do you want them to see by default.
  • Trigger Position: The trigger the user clicks to open the widget, where do you want it located— bottom right, bottom left, top right, or top left?
  • Accent Color: You can set the color of the accents on the widget.
  • Trigger Color: Set the color of the trigger that opens the widget.

Step 3: Choose your Widget Type.

SmartVote

The SmartVote widget shows users a set of two ideas and asks them to choose which idea they want you to build next. When a user picks an idea, they can choose to just "pick" it or they can "pick+subscribe" which subscribes them to updates. Reference this article for more details on creating a SmartVote Poll.

NPS Widget

The user is asked, “How likely would you be to recommend {organization name} to a friend or colleague?” They can choose a score between 0—10.

!Note: The NPS question cannot be customized. This is because the rating and report are based on a very specific question and answer. However, you can change your organization name from Settings → Account and Billing → "Organizations Name and Website."

User Traits

You can now identify your users — even when they don’t send you feedback. In addition, you can set user traits that will allow you to analyze user satisfaction, feedback and support requests by account, plan, lifetime value, and other fields. UserVoice developer article here walks you through how to identify users and pass traits through the widget.

And finally, Step 4: To add the widget code to your website..

  1. Click the icon in the bottom left corner.
  2.  Choose "Widgets" from the menu.
  3.  Copy the code in Step 2 of the instructions.

4. Move to the Integrations section on your SpringBuilder Dashboard, paste the code in the appropriate field and hit Connect.
