In this Article we'll introduce you to the platform called Intercom, a practical set of tools to manage conversations with your site visitors, send targeted messages to the right people at a right time as well as educate them.
First things first, let us start with how you can connect the platform to your SpringBuilder website.
All you need is register to Intercom and get the Intercom ID.
Just check out the string in the URL that appears when using Intercom that comes just after app.intercom.com/a/apps/, between the slashes //.
You can also get that App ID more directly by heading to App Settings > API Keys.
From there, you'll be able to copy the App ID to be installed to the Integrations section on your Dashboard.
That's it! Just paste the ID into the appropriate field and hit connect!
Once you've successfully connected Intercom to your website, you'll notice a Chat icon appear in the lower right corner of your site, just like the one you can see on SpringBuilder.
Note: You can easily customize the Chat box to match your website's look and feel as well as manage the App right from your Intercom Settings!
